Vistula University is one amongst the oldest non-public universities in Poland. Established in 1992 under the name of the University of Insurance and Banking, it achieved its current status through dynamic development and contacts with other non-public higher education institutions. In 2019, Aleksander Gieysztor Academy in Pułtusk became one of our branches.

Vistula University is at the forefront of the best private universities in Poland. It takes the 5th place in the prestigious ranking of non-public higher education institutions “Perspektywy” 2022. A special reason for satisfaction is also the 6th place of Vistula University amongst all Polish universities in the Graduate in the 2022 labour market category.

Vistula University is among the few universities in Poland that have the full scope of ACCA accreditation, and the ’Project management in the organisation’ programme in the field of Management has accreditation from the PMI Global Accreditation Centre for Project Management Education Programmes (GAC).

The Finance and Accounting, and Management programmes, conducted at Vistula University, have been accredited by CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants). CIMA accreditation confirms that our students gain competences, during the teaching process, – which are recognised all over the world – and are the most sought-after and up-to-date, in the areas of ​​Finance and Management. Thanks to the accreditation, students can take advantage of exemptions from CIMA’s exams. They will also gain access to scholarships.

CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) is a leading, and the largest global organisation of specialists, in the field of Management Accounting. It works closely with employers, and finances innovative research. CIMA also trains world-class financiers. The Faculty of Business and International Relations of Vistula University has the international CEEMAN IQA accreditation – one of the most prestigious and respected international accreditations in the field of managerial education. This accreditation confirms that Vistula meets the requirements for efficient operation, as well as high-quality education and research. Thanks to CEEMAN IQA’s accreditation, the value of the Vistula University diploma, in Poland and abroad, is growing. Students, therefore, have a better chance of being employed, and graduates can be sure that their knowledge and highly developed social and managerial competences will be appreciated in the business environment.

Vistula University tracks the development of Big Data, artificial intelligence and robotics. Focusing its interest on Asia and China, it hosts the Confucian Classroom operating within the school walls.
