Entry qualification | Undergraduate diploma (or higher) • Professional Bachelor degree or professional higher education and 5th level or adequate professional qualifications obtained upon completion of maritime programmes which provide access to master studies. Graduates of other related programmes of study may be enrolled on fulfilling additional entry requirements. Please provide the secondary school leaving certificate in the original language. If the diploma is not issued in English, a certified translation should be provided. The document must be legalised/apostilled. You must take the original entry qualification documents along with you when you finally go to the university. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. |

Overview
The study programme aims to implement in-depth vocational studies based on the theoretical basis of the maritime transport sector, relevant to its needs and applied in practice, while ensuring the acquisition of knowledge, skills and competences identified for the European/Latvian Qualifications Framework’s (EQF/LQF) level 7.
Programme structure
The study programme has two fields of specialisation:
– Maritime Transport Management Engineering;
– Operation of Maritime Transport.
Studies are organised in the form of lectures, seminars, project works and discussion groups.

Graduates of the study programme acquire in-depth knowledge , skills and competences for comprehensive and effective action in the selected field of management or operation in the maritime transport sector as managers of companies/organisations/institutions and their departments, key and leading technical specialists, educators, researchers, etc., as well as for further studies aimed at higher level qualifications.
