Advantages of the program
The uniqueness of the study program lies in its content, since it is a training program for economists of a European level, which allows its graduates to acquire not only professional competencies in business management, taking into account the specifics of doing business in Europe, but also other competencies necessary for an economist to manage economic processes and resources at the micro and macro levels.

Competencies acquired
There is a law in business: do what works. We shape economists and entrepreneurs with a mindset capable of “benefiting” from any information. Graduates of the study program are able to analyze and plan various economic activities at the national economy level, as well as manage and evaluate economic activities and human, information and financial resources and processes in the organizations of the commercial and public sector.

Programmstruktur

During the first two years of their studies, students master compulsory subjects, thereby forming a consistent development of the fundamentals of economic theory, the laws of development of science, the basic principles and methodology of various fields of research. During the third and fourth year of their studies, students master mainly subjects of professional choice, which complement the understanding of various industries and sub-sectors of economics and entrepreneurship, and at the end of their training period, the students defend their bachelor’s thesis.

Karrieremöglichkeiten

Mastering the study curriculum of this program will allow its graduates to work both at the national level and in commercial companies in any sector of the national economy in Latvia and other EU countries, as well as to create their own company and / or continue their Master studies.
